The former CEO of Coast Shelter, Laurie Maher, has been charged with historical sex offences, allegedly committed at Mt Penang Training School, in Kariong.
It’s alleged the 81-year-old sexually abused six boys between 1977 and 1988.
Maher is the ninth person to face court over misconduct at the boy’s home.
Coast Shelter says the allegations pre-date Maher’s involvement with the charity and do not relate to the organisation.
