FOUR PEOPLE CHARGED OVER ALLEGED VIOLENT LAKE MACQUARIE BREAK AND ENTER

Police have made yet another arrest after a man was beaten at a home in Cardiff, back in January – the alleged thieves fleeing with hundreds of dollars in cash.
The 48-year-old man had been communicating with a woman online, when he arranged to meet her at a home on Government Road on Sunday 12 January.
Shortly after she arrived, at around 5:15am, two men allegedly broke in through the front door, armed with an ornamental sword and a metal pipe.
They assaulted the man, leaving him with a fractured skull and a deep cut to his head.
The trio then allegedly stole $650 cash, before being picked up by another man and fleeing in a car.
Following investigations, police arrested a 25-year-old woman in Gateshead later that day.
She was charged with aggravated break and enter, inflicting grievous bodily harm and possessing prohibited drugs.
She remains before the courts.
A month later, on Wednesday 19 February, detectives arrested a 34-year-old man at Rankin Park.
He was also charged with aggravated break and enter and inflicting grievous bodily harm, and was refused bail to appear before Belmont Local Court this month.
Then, last Friday, on 27 March, a 19-year-old man was arrested at Wangi Wangi in relation to the break and enter.
He remains behind bars and is due to appear at Toronto Local Court on Friday.

A fourth arrest was made at Windale yesterday.

The 23-year-old man was also refused bail to face Newcastle Local Court today.
