YOUNG WOMAN FIGHTING FOR LIFE AFTER COAST COLLISION

A young woman is fighting for life after a head-on collision at Woy Woy Bay.

The 22-year-old was found trapped inside her Mazda hatchback on Woy Woy Road at around 10am.

She was placed into an induced coma, before being flown to Sydney’s Royal North Shore Hospital in a critical condition.

The male driver of the second car was taken to Gosford Hospital with minor injuries.

The busy road was closed for hours as police investigated what led to the crash.
