$900,000 UPGRADE FOR SINGLETON RUGBY CLUB

Singleton Rugby Club’s set to receive a $900,000 makeover, with the New South Wales government cutting a cheque for a new grandstand and other facilities.

Member for the Upper Hunter, Michael Johnsen, says the club’s western grandstand is more than 40 years old and in dire need of an upgrade.

Stage one of the project will include the construction of the ground floor of a new grandstand to seat 430 spectators, as well as two female change rooms, toilets, a kiosk, a storeroom and a training and rehabilitation room.

Singleton Rugby Club President Shane Thompson thanked the government for the funding.
