One of the region’s most promising racehorses has died after breaking down mid-race.
The Queen of Kingston was euthanased after injuring her off-fore fetlock in the open handicap on Saturday in Brisbane.
She had eight wins, including at last year’s Casino Beef Week Cup.
The six-year-old mare had won just over a quarter of a million dollars in prize money.
