VEHICLES DAMAGED BY ROCKS THROWN FROM OVERPASS

Authorities are asking the public to help them identify a group of people seen throwing rocks from an overpass in the Hunter last night.

Police were told the group threw the rocks from the railway overpass at Bridge Street at Muswellbrook, onto oncoming traffic, at around 10.30pm.

The rocks caused damage to three vehicles traveling on the road below, but no one was injured.

Hunter Valley Police District Duty Officer, Chief Inspector Guy Guiana, is urging anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.

“While it’s unfortunate that three vehicles were damaged, it was extremely lucky no one was injured in the incident.”
