Byron residents are being offered free green waste disposal after the area was declared a disaster zone during last week’s wet and wild weather.
Those affected by the weather can take green waste to the Byron Resource Recovery Centre free of charge for the next two weeks.
Proof of address will be required to access the service.
Residents who wish to dispose of damaged household goods are encouraged to contact the Shire Council.
