TEENAGERS CHARGED WITH STEALING FROM LAKE MACQUARIE SCHOOL

Two teenagers have been charged after an alleged break and enter at a school in Lake Macquarie early this morning.

Police stopped two boys, aged 13 and 14, walking along the Pacific Highway in Belmont at around 1.30am.

Officers allegedly found the pair, with 11 tablet computers, chargers, a computer modem, food and cleaning materials.

A knife was also taken from one of the boys, before they were taken to Belmont Police Station.

Police were later told a security system was activated at a school nearby shortly before they were seen.

The boys face a number of charges, including aggravated break, enter.

They’ll appear at a children’s court today.

The incident follows police investigations into a rise in break and enters around Belmont.
