MAN CHARGED AFTER ALLEGEDLY SLITTING COW’S THROAT

A man has allegedly driven into a cow and slit its throat in the Hunter Valley.

Police allege the 37-year-old discovered some heifers on his property that were not his. It’s alleged he got into a vehicle and drove into one, breaking its leg. It’s alleged he slit its throat then released his dogs onto the dying animal.

The heifer’s owner discovered the injured animal and euthanised it.

The man’s facing a raft of animal cruelty charges and will face Dungog Local Court in March
