GAV’S WEATHER | HUGE RAIN IN SE QLD AND NE NSW TO EASE, SWELL TO INCREASE

The east coast rain event has ramped back up across South East Queensland and North East New South Wales.

Big storms and heavy periods of rain are still happening as tropical moisture continues to drive south. 200 to 300mm has fallen.

From the Gold to Port Macquarie more rain has fallen this year than all of 2019.

Humidity levels remain extremely high.

Cyclone Uesi is going to move through the Tasman Crossing over Lord Howe Island.

This system will remain well off shore while generating an increase in swell.

As Uesi passes offshore it should help ease the heavy flooding rain across the coast as all the moisture will be drawn in to the Cyclone.

The swell will increase tomorrow along the coast causing more erosion.

The heavy flooding rain across South East Queensland and North East New South Wales will ease.

Elsewhere showers and storms will be less frequent will a most fine day expected.

South Easterly winds will increase.
