WORKS UNDERWAY ON PUDDLEDOCK DAM PIPELINE

Multi-million dollar pipeline upgrades are underway at Puddledock Dam.

The town requires 14 megalitres of water a day, but the pipeline can only pump five-and-a-half.

Both the pipeline and the pump station will be upgraded, so that water can be transported to Armidale as well.

“Since Malpas Dam was built in the 60’s, Puddledock hasn’t been used for anything, yet, it’s almost full and still holds plenty of water. Council’s concept is to connect Puddledock back to the Armidale water supply.”

The project should be complete within 12 months.
