RAINFALL SEES SPIKE IN CATTLE PRICES AT TAMWORTH SALE

Encouraging rainfall has seen a recent spike in cattle prices at the Tamworth sales.

Agents say the downpours have prompted a surge of interest in the city’s livestock market.

Friday’s sale day saw buyers from as far as Goondiwindi make the trip.

The majority of sellers also hailed from the north, where greater rainfall has allowed for higher stock consistency.
