A woman reported missing from the Lake Macquarie region has been found dead.
The 54-year-old was reported missing after she was last seen leaving her home in her Toyota station wagon at Teralba on Saturday morning.
Police conducted an extensive search for the woman and her car from the ground and the air.
Her body was found near a car on a fire trail at Wakefield, just after midday on Monday.
Her death is not being treated as suspicious, however inquiries into the incident continue.
