Police are investigating an unidentified body which was discovered at a beach near Coffs Harbour yesterday.
The body was found just on the shoreline at Safety Beach, just north of the Darkum Creek inlet at around midday.
It has been taken for forensic testing, while inquiries have begun to confirm who the person is, and the circumstances of their death.
