PINK STUMPS DAY RESULTS IN CENTRAL COAST CRICKET PENALTY

A Central Coast women’s cricket team is in hot water for wearing flamboyant clothes to a Pink Stumps day.

Southern Spirit raised $5,000 for McGrath Foundation breast cancer support nurses earlier this month.

But pink clothing worn on the day has cost it competition points and a $1,000 fine.

The question of whether uniform rules were breached will be addressed in a hearing next month.

The club and cricket association were approached for comment.
