A woman has been winched from the Mermaid Pools at South West Rocks, after she was knocked by a wave and fell 4 metres.
The 44-year-old was treated for head and leg injuries, before being airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
Emergency services also rescued another person who was injured.
Emergency services and National Parks and Wildlife staff had to cleared car park at Trial Bay Gaol for the helicopter to land.
