Work has begun on stage two of Iris Capital’s $700 million East End project in the Hunter Street Mall.
When complete, the seven storey development will include more than 100 apartments, retail and commercial space.
Newcastle Council has confirmed original facades will remain, including those of the Lyric Theatre and Masonic Hall.
