GOOD SAMARITAN ALLEGEDLY TURNS THIEF

A heartless thief has robbed a man who suffered a stroke, but only after calling triple zero.

A 58-year-old man had suffered a stroke while sitting in his car outside a hotel at Mount Hutton south of Newcastle.

A 29-year-old found him and rang paramedics.

It’s alleged the good samaritan then turned thief, police claiming he stole the sick man’s cash and credit cards.

Police reviewed CCTV footage then arrested a man at Windale after he tried to run away.

He’s facing several charges, including larceny, in court on Friday.

The 58-year-old victim is in a stable condition.
