ANIMAL WELFARE LEAGUE PROVIDE FREE PET CHECKS IN TAMWORTH

Four-legged friends received some vital treatment in Tamworth today.

The Animal Welfare League’s mobile vet was onsite at the paceway, where the team worked to vaccinate, microchip and desex animals.

The services are subsidised, allowing residents to access the vet free-of-charge.

“There’s actually quite a lot of parvo in these country towns. A lot of them come from areas where people can’t really afford to vaccinate and so that’s why we just want to come out here and just really help those areas.”

The team will visit the region once more in February.
