LOST PARADISE FESTIVAL CANCELLED DUE TO LIFE-THREATENING BUSHFIRES

The Central Coast’s Lost Paradise Festival has been cancelled due to the bushfire threat.

The Glenworth Valley event was to be held not far from where the Three Mile fire is burning.

Last week, the blaze joined with a number of others to create a 60-kilometre fire front.

Organisers say it was a difficult decision to make, but after extensive consultation with the Rural Fire Service and emergency personnel, it was determined the intense, unpredictable fire conditions were just too risky.

“We simply cannot put anyone’s life at risk. We have been working around the clock to explore all possible options to relocate the festival, but it is just not feasible within the timeframe,” they said.

The almost 10,000 guests will be eligible for a refund.
