North Coast health authorities are warning of a potential measles outbreak in Yamba after a resident contracted the infectious disease.
Anyone who visited the Maclean Golf Course, Yamba Bowling Club and Yamba Fair Shopping Centre this week should be on high alert, especially if they haven’t been vaccinated.
Measles is highly contagious, and symptoms include a fever, cough and red rash.
Anyone displaying symptoms should see their doctor immediately.
