Kempsey Shire has today joined other councils by enforcing tougher water restrictions.
Local communities now face level 3 restrictions with watering gardens reserved for handheld hoses for a maximum of 10 minutes every second day between 4pm and 9am using the ‘odds and evens’ system.
Outdoor cleaning with water is now banned.
Kemspey’s water levels have now dropped below 68 percent.
