TWO DEAD IN ULTRA-LIGHT HUNTER PLANE CRASH

Devastating news coming out of the Hunter, with Police confirming two people have died after their ultra-light aircraft came down on a semi-rural property.

Police were called to the Paterson Road property at Woodville around 12:20pm on Saturday.

Tragically, the bodies of two people were located at the scene and are yet to be formally identified.

One person posted to Facebook, saying winds were picking up throughout the afternoon.

“I hope this wasn’t the one flying over Patterson when all the wind picked up. I was a bit concerned as conditions were changing quickly,” said Arin Cluff.

Other posted their condolences.

Officers from the Port Stephens Hunter Police District have established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
