120ML STORAGE DAM AT CALALA DUE FOR COMPLETION BY CHRISTMAS

A brand-new storage dam at Calala is nearing its final stages of construction.

The 120 megalitre facility is set to improve the harvesting efficiency of raw water in the Tamworth area by up to 13 per cent each year.

7,500 new residents will get a supply of additional water from the dam.

It will also provide Council with potential cost cuts.

Earthworks have now been completed, with lining now being laid.

It’s on track for completion prior to Christmas.
