Against all odds, Flash the koala is getting better.
The 8-year-old male was found with severe burns amid the bushfires on the mid north coast.
He’s being cared for by volunteers from Port Stephens Koalas.
“He is improving and that’s because of the first class care he’s receiving but things can change quickly with koalas and often not with a lot of warning.”
Unfortunately two other burns victims could not overcome their injuries, and have been euthanised.
