Rous County Council is preparing to start water restrictions earlier than usual… following a rapid drop in water levels at Rocky Creek Dam.
The dam is currently at 75.6 per cent – level one restrictions will now kick in at 70 per cent, up from 60 per cent.
“Most of the feedback that I’ve had has been why aren’t we doing this already? People know that it’s dry they know that there’s not much chance of rain in the short term over the next couple of months so we really need to just save the water that we’ve got now.”
