Only ever intended to deliver snail mail, the humble postie bike was today pushed to its limits, Cessnock hosting the fifth annual Australian Postie Bike Grand Prix.

Large crowds gathered along the circuit as 40 teams battled for supremacy in both the men’s and women’s races, with only six and a half horsepower to work with.

The women’s race is the only one of its kind in Australia.
