Sawtell artist, Ben Fayle, has taken out the $5000 People’s Choice award in the National Still Life Award at Coffs Harbour’s Regional Gallery.
His oil painting, which depicts flowers frozen in blocks of ice, was voted on by visitors to the gallery over the past two months.
This year’s major prize of $30,000 was taken out by Tasmanian artist, Kelly Austin, for her ceramic entry titled, ‘Stilled Composition 43.’
There were 750 entries all up.
