Virgin Australia will cut back its Tamworth passenger services early in the New Year.
The twice-daily service will be reduced to just six flights a week, as the budget airline continues to battle economic trouble.
Mayor Col Murray says the cuts will not impact the airline’s plans to open a pilot training school at Tamworth Airport.
