MAN CHARGED OVER BREAK AND ENTERS NEAR GLOUCESTER

A man’s been charged with breaking into several businesses near Gloucester.

Police have been investigating two separate break and enters in September and October at businesses in Gloucester and Dungog.

On both occasions, copper wire was stolen.

Then on Thursday October 10 and Friday October 25, a business on Gloucester Tops Road at Forbesdale was broken into.

The thief stole power tools, batteries and a wheelbarrow.

Police believe the incidents are linked.

At around midday yesterday, they raided a home on The Bucketts Way, seizing power tools, cannabis, methylamphetamine and clothing.

They arrested a 43-year-old man and he’s been granted conditional bail.

Inquiries continue.
