REPLICA PISTOL USED DURING WILD CHASE

A replica pistol has allegedly been pointed at police during a pursuit on the Northern Rivers.

Police began pursuing a White Toyota Camry that was being driven erratically, along Hinterland Way at Ewingsdale on Sunday morning. The pistol was allegedly pointed at police during the chase, which was stopped for safety reasons.

Police pursued the car a second time on the Pacific Highway at Knockrow, after it was driven on the wrong side of the road. It’s alleged the pistol was pointed at other motorists.

Four people, including a 15 year-old-boy were eventually charged after being hunted down by the dog unit.
