A man, who was critically injured when he came off his motorbike in the state’s north over the weekend has now died.
Emergency services were called to Limpinwood Road at Tyalgum, shortly before midday following reports a motorcycle had crashed into a tree.
A 59-year-old rider suffered head critical injuries.
He was stabilised at the scene before being airlifted to Gold Coast University Hospital.
His female passenger, aged 57, suffered shoulder and ankle injuries and was taken to Tweed Heads Hospital for further treatment.
