THICK SMOKE FROM BEES NEST FIRE BLANKETS COFFS COAST

The Coffs Coast was blanketed in thick smoke again today, due to the westerly winds bringing smoke across from the Bees Nest fire.

RFS crews are currently backburning in an attempt to fully contain the blaze that has destroyed more than 100,000 hectares.

Smoke lingered in the air for most of today – the 10 kilometre an hour winds, not enough to clear the air.
