STRONG NUMBERS ON HAND FOR NORTH COAST NATIONAL
The big dry has failed to put a dent in crowd numbers for the North Coast National held at Lismore Showground.
This year’s crowd was on par with past years, but the ongoing dry did affect some of the exhibits.
“The drought had a lot of effect on some of our exhibits, but the rural people supported us very well under the circumstances, we’re pretty delighted with that. The townspeople came out and had a good time,” said Show President John Gibson.
Shows in neighbouring regions weren’t as fortunate, with Casino having to cancel due to this month’s devastating bushfires.
