Sam Bates was the pick of the bowlers as the Thunder smashed the Brisbane Heat, to claim its first victory of the season.
She finished with figures of three for 33 in the seven wicket win.
In the other games, Maisy Gibson and Corrine Hall helped Hobart to a five-wicket win over the Melbourne Stars, as the Hurricanes claimed top spot on the ladder.
