Dozens gathered in Newcastle’s Civic Park on Sunday to mark Anti-Poverty Week.
Federal MP Sharon Claydon vowed to push for more affordable housing in the Hunter, in parliament this week.
“There is not a single rental property in our LGA that somebody on Newstart could afford to rent. Now that is a pretty shocking state of affairs.” – Newcastle Federal MP.
There’ll be another rally in Civic Park on Friday.
