SOLI’S HOPES STRIKE TROUBLE IN FRANCE

Soli Bailey will need a miracle to re-qualify for next year’s world tour, after bowing out in the round of 32 at the Quicksilver Pro in France.

Small scores were all the Suffolk Park local could muster in the early stages of his heat…

After catching 10 waves, his highest score was a 1-point-1-7.

His best wave coming in the closing stages…

“That’s going to put Soli right back in the hunt with 5 minutes left.”

But the regular footer couldn’t back it up – his American opponent too good.

He now turns his attention to the next world tour event in Portugal, which gets underway in just over a week.
