A 61-year-old man is recovering in hospital, after becoming trapped in a bobcat while working on a remote property south west of Newcastle on Sunday.
Emergency services worked for more than an hour to free the man, whose legs were pinned under the steel wall of a water tank that he was constructing on the Bucketty property.
The man spent almost two hours attempting to raise the alarm, with neighbours rushing to his aid after hearing screams for help.
He was eventually released from underneath the steel structure, and flown to Sydney’s Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.
