CENTRAL COAST TEENS ROBBED AT KNIFEPOINT

A pair of Lake Haven teens have warned others to be wary after a terrifying carjacking on Monday morning.

17-year-old Chantelle Ardler said she and her friend were parked on Lake Haven Drive when a red SUV pulled up next to them.

It’s alleged a man got out of the SUV and approached the 18-year-old male driver, threatening him with a knife.

A second man exited the vehicle, allegedly stealing Ms Ardler’s mobile phone before getting in the Mitsubishi and driving off in a southerly direction along Lake Haven Drive.

Ms Adler said she’s “never been so scared” in a post to Facebook, warning others to be on the lookout for any suspicious behaviour.

“We are both okay but everyone please stay safe and beware of these people.”

“It was four guys, probably in their mid-20s and keep a look out for this car,” she wrote.

The post has since been shared more than 700 times.

Both Ms Ardler and her friend ran to a fast food restaurant nearby and contacted police.

Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District arrived a short time later and commenced an investigation.

Anyone with information is urged to contact crime stoppers.
