Plans to build a three-storey boarding house in Beaumont Street, Hamilton, will be discussed at Tuesday night’s Newcastle Council meeting.
The development would see a building adjacent to The Exchange Hotel demolished, and replaced by one featuring 16 rooms of social housing.
If given the green light, work would also include reconstructing the footpath.
Council officers have recommended the project be approved.
