MOTORCYCLIST KILLED IN MAROM CREEK CRASH

A man in his 20s has been killed in a head-on crash south west of Ballina on the state’s north coast.

The 24-year-old was riding along Marom Creek Road at around 4 o’clock on Sunday afternoon, when he collided head-on with a Nissan Navara.

Despite the best efforts of local residents, the man couldn’t be saved.

The driver of the Nissan, a 69-year-old man was taken to Lismore Base Hospital for mandatory testing.
