A man is being assessed at The Mater Hospital after a tense eight-hour siege at Teralba overnight.
Specialist police negotiators were called in, when the 25-year-old armed himself with a spear gun and barricaded himself inside a home on Anzac Street.
He eventually surrendered peacefully several neighbours were evacuated as a precaution.
