POLICE RENEW APPEAL FOR INFORMATION IN CECILIA DEVINE CASE

New images of clothing and a handbag have been released, as police continue to investigate the death of Newcastle woman Cecilia Devine.

The items are similar to the ones the 42-year-old was wearing in one of her last known sightings in the Blue Mountains.

Ms Devine’s remains were discovered in a creek in Katoomba by staff from a nearby water treatment plant in March this year.

She had been reported missing from Waratah in September 2018.

In CCTV footage, Ms Devine can be seen wearing a distinctive bright yellow cardigan, black pants and carrying an orange handbag; all of which have not been recovered.

“We’ve established some strong leads into Cecilia Devine’s disappearance and death in recent months but there are still many unanswered questions,” Detective Sergeant Allan said.
