Police believe they’ve smashed a drug syndicate in the state’s far north, arresting six people for allegedly harbouring illegal drugs and firearms.
It’s part of an investigation launched earlier this year, to reduce the supply of meth and firearms in Casino, Drake, Tabulam, Lismore and Irvington.
During the search, several drugs were seized including meth, cocaine, and cannabis.
Cash and firearms were also found.
A 34-year-old woman and five middle-aged men were taken into custody.
Strike Force Balsillie investigators expect further arrests will be made.
