UKI BLAZE LISTED BY RFS AS ‘BEING CONTROLLED’

RFS crews have spent another night working to contain a bushfire burning near Uki, which earlier this week threatened homes in the small town.

The blaze has burned through 200 hectares and firefighters are now focusing on putting out existing hotspots and strengthen containment lines.

Large parts of the fire is burning in inaccessible terrain.

Kyogle Road has re-opened, though may be closed at short notice.
