16-YEAR-OLD BOY CHARGED AFTER AIMING BOW AND ARROW AT OFFICER

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested after allegedly aiming a bow and arrow at a police officer in the state’s north-west.

Just before 3pm yesterday, police stopped a BMW on the Kamilaroi Highway.

The teenage driver allegedly pulled out the weapon and threatened the officer.

He was taken to Gunnedah Police Station, refused bail and will face a Children’s Court.
