MAYOR DOUBTFUL POOLS WILL REOPEN FOR THE SUMMER SEASON

The future looks grim for Tamworth’s pools, with Mayor Col Murray uncertain if EITHER will be open for summer.

Council’s drought management plan recommends the pools stay closed, with the city facing Level 5 water restrictions.

“The Council staff have been investigating alternative ways of filling the water other than using our treated water from the dams and I guess that’s what the report will describe and Council will consider that next Tuesday night.”
