POOL PLANS LOOKING HOPEFUL FOR SWIMMING SEASON

Scully Park Pool could remain open over the summer despite Tamworth facing level 5 water restrictions.

Council says it hopes to use the water currently stored in the One Tree Hill reservoir, to keep the public pool running, while the reservoir is upgraded.

“The council will consider modifying the drought management plan to allow one swimming pool to remain open under level five restrictions.”

If the pool doesn’t open for swim season, elite swimmers like Olympic hopeful Conner Roberts may be forced to relocate.
