Valentine took an unexpected lead against Edgeworth before the break, through Bailey Garland.

The Eagles were down to 10 when Oliver Smith was sent off, before he appeared to headbutt Jacob Bailey.

In Round 20 of the Women’s Premier League, Warners Bay edged out Merewether, Wallsend beat Mid North Coast and Adamstown was too good for Thornton.

At Alder Park, premiers New Lambton were in front in the first minute thanks to Lauren Allan.
