A woman in her 20s has been flown to hospital suffering head injuries after an accident in the Hunter Valley.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was sent to Pokolbin at around 10 o’clock on Tuesday morning, after reports a 23-year-old was trapped in the wreckage of her crashed car.
It’s understood the car had left Palmers Lane and struck a tree.
The injured woman was stabilised at the scene by paramedics, before being flown to Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital.
She was reported to be in a serious but stable condition.
